True Entrepreneurs
Monday, February 22nd, 2010Students in the Top Indian Management Institution have no “jobs”!! These students have turned entrepreneurs while still in college and will be creating employment opportunities for others. The different entrepreneurial ventures are diverse in their own way.
Tea lovers couldn’t find a better place until “Just Tea” an outlet came up in the IIM-Lucknow campus. Ghazala Tabassum along with 3 of her colleagues started this outlet within the campus which specializes in imported and exotic-tea making.
Students on campus have not left any area untapped as it could be the next big thing in business like from recycling household waste to making solar lamps or even selling scented candles.
Waste management is the government’s job is what most of us think, unlike Mr. Shalabh Agrawal (25) from IIM-Indore who sees a potential opportunity in waste management and intends to start his own venture wherein he plans to collect and dispose solid waste and recycle it through his venture . “In India, municipal corporations cannot handle wastes well. We will focus on door-to-door collection,” Mr Agrawal says.
A few students have already a business unit within the campus and they also intend to expand it from there. But a few of them are still working on their respective business plans without being a part of the final placements. For now the incubation cell will definitely be the place for these students as they want to make it out on their own from these top management institutes.
